Rating a round

Round and its number show Not started, In progress, Submitted, or Not submitted. Rate each statement on the study's scale, or, if offered, choose not to rate under the study's label. The page counts your answers, shows the study's instructions, and may say This round takes about that many minutes.

Answers save as you go. The page can say Saved at a time. Save now saves at once. A failed save says Not saved, retrying… and tries again, or: "Not saved. Reload the page to continue; your saved answers are kept."

Submit this round says why it is not ready. Afterward: Your answers are submitted. You can change an answer until the round closes. Changes save by themselves. Answers you never submit are not in the results.

After the round closes

A late answer is refused. The page says This round closed on the study's date and time, or This round is no longer collecting answers, and that answers can no longer be added or changed. A change still waiting is not saved. Earlier saves are kept. Unsubmitted saves are not in that round's results.

Comments

When the round asks for a comment, the label is Your comment, and it is marked needed or optional. The page states who sees it, in the study's own sentence. That sentence is one of these:

  • "Your comments are shown to other panelists as you wrote them, without your name. Leave out details that could identify you."
  • "Your comments are shown to other panelists without your name, after the research team removes details that could identify you."
  • "Your comments are edited by the research team for clarity and to remove identifying details before other panelists see them."
  • "Other panelists do not see your comments as you wrote them. The research team summarizes them into themes."
  • "Your comments are seen only by the research team."

On a later round, What other panelists said is only comments the study chose to share. Themes in the comments is the themes choice. No choice, or a choice to share nothing, shows no comment text. Why did you change your rating? (optional) says: "Your reason goes to the research team only. Other panelists never see it."

Suggestions, when the round shows them, are read by the study team, may not be used, and are not ratings. See what the group said and leaving.
